Education: PhD (University of Birmingham) BSc (Hons) (University of Birmingham)

Andy is aQtive's Development Director, he is chief software architect of the central aQtive technology, responsible for managing the development team, and has strategic input as a member of the executive.

Before co-founding aQtive, Andy was a PhD student at the University of Birmingham, work which paved the way for the current aQtive product. He had also implemented several commercial and academic development projects, involving web and Java technology. In his student days, Andy was responsible for producing an award winning regular news programme on student television. This combination of creative and technical skills are proving an invaluable part of aQtive's strategic devlopment.

Andy thinks that the software industry has just entered a new phase that has opened up a vast new space of opportunities to be explored. He would like aQtive to be the company that brings those opportunities to everyone

Andy is a keen traveller and has spent a lot of time in America, including a seven month sabbatical at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
